About Brandy Kraft

Brandy Kraft, an artist from Florida now based in Stockholm, focuses on creating imagined species of flora through photography, paint, and sculpture. After becoming a certified florist in 2019, she combines technical realism with imaginative vision, exploring themes like climate change and the blurred line between reality and illusion. Kraft lives in Stockholm with her husband and two children.

Artist Statement

Mankind's destruction of the planet inspired me to preserve nature, starting with painting flowers to capture their beauty and prevent extinction. Over time, I began envisioning and creating new, non-existent species of flora, building my own world petal by petal. Inspired by Sweden's nature and Carl von Linné, I moved back from New York to document these hybrids. In 2024, my focus shifted towards 3D development, embracing new sculptural techniques.
