ABOUT THE ALBUM NASHAN
After years of acclaimed experimental pop, Linnéa Martinsson (Lune) reconnected with her roots. During parental leave at her family cabin in Medelpad, two worlds collided: a new life was born just as her grandfather passed away.
With her baby sleeping in a wrap on her chest and her grandfather's memory lingering among the trees, the music took an entirely new direction. Through analog synths, accordion, and drums crafted from scrap found in the forest, Nashan emerged, an album deeply shaped by heritage and nature.
The soundscape encompasses everything from newly written alt-folk tracks and nature-inspired instrumental pieces to an unexpected rendition of an 80s hit. Soaring above the stripped-back arrangements, Lune's signature soft voice creates an outcome that is peaceful, exploratory, and elegant.
